We’re Wired for Care: How Our Commitment to Healthcare Engineering

Since our inception in 2012, NEXT Electric has cultivated a collectivist culture that places a paramount importance on people and meeting community needs. As part of this commitment, we are a proud member of the Wisconsin Healthcare Engineering Association (WHEA), an organization that supports professionals involved in the design, construction, and maintenance of healthcare facilities to ultimately ensure efficient patient care. To collaborate with other stakeholders, showcase our capabilities, track compliance updates, and safeguard efficient patient care, we participated in this year’s 2024 annual WHEA conference with 14 healthcare project managers.

The week-long conference covered a variety of topics, including code updates, sustainability trends, preparedness, and healthcare developments. It also featured many guest speakers including representatives from The Joint Commission, the DNV, and special guest, LeRoy Butler, former Green Bay Packer.

We’ve been part of this group since its founding. The accessibility to educational programs and the opportunities for relationship building with key stakeholders in the market, have been integral to NEXT operations.

As hospitals and healthcare facilities face increasing pressures to keep up with technological advancements and sustainability goals for streamlined patient care, NEXT Electric will continue investing in healthcare engineering infrastructure to ensure that technology and facility improvements translate into better patient outcomes. The ultimate beneficiaries of our efforts are those in need.
